NBC Issues Casting Call for more 'Heroes'
NBC Issues Casting Call for more 'Heroes'
One of the surprise hits of this TV season, Heroes, is looking to expand its cast with several recurring roles.  Season two of Heroes begins filming in Los Angeles in late July or Early August.  As of the end of Season one, several of the original Heroes' fates are in doubt, most notably Nathan and Peter.  Things weren't looking particularly goof for Hiro as he landed back in feudal Japan.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, who were able to snag a copy of the casting sheet, four new roles are being cast.  Two are fairly mundane;  a boyfriend for Heroes' Claire (Hayden Panettiere), and a surrogate for Micah. Thomas Dekker, who played Claire's famously momentarily gay friend Zach, will not be returning to woo the cheerleader.  The actor will be appearing in "The Terminator" based series "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" as future leader of the free world, John Connor.

Two new Heroes characters which MAY be of the super-powered variety include an attractive Latino female, and an Irish gangster.  One thing which has proven true over and over again with these casting calls is that often times things will change in the course of auditions and the rolls will be adjusted to fit an actor or actress that appeals to the creators.  A good example is the role of Hurley which was created for actor Jorge Garcia specifically when he auditioned for the part of Sawyer.  (Imagine that!)

Heroes will be adding some additional episodes to its schedule this year to introduce new super powered characters to the present line up.  So far mums the word on whether Adrian Pasdar will be returning for Heroes second chapter.  Although he flew Peter into the sky to explode at a safe distance from the city, fans reckon the eldest Petrelli still could have dropped Peter off to free fall and flown to a safe distance.
