Danko looks at the computers in his now empty office and sees that his prisoners are gone and his entire unit has been captured. How did this happen? HRG reminds him: agents are no match for people with abilities. Danko looks at heavy duty tranquilizers, saying he intends to shoot Sylar with one to take him down. But as HRG turns his back, Danko holds the needle to HRG... until Hiro stops time, takes the needle, and stabs Danko with it. He unfreezes time, looks at HRG with vacant eyes and collapses. Suresh and Ando catch him. HRG rushes to save Sylar, as Mohinder and Ando say they will stay with Hiro.

Claire and Nathan (Sylar) wait in the suite when Claire's phone rings. HRG asks Claire where she is, and then how she knows it's Nathan... we see that it's Sylar acting as Claire. He shifts to himself and says "Because it's me." HRG stops in his tracks. Sylar hangs up. He looks at the real Claire and smells her hair. "Oh God, this is fun."


Sylar forces Claire's movements (pouring him wine) as she promises to kill him when HRG arrives. He promises that he will kill HRG, or make her do it. He tells her that everyone she knows will die, and tells her that his father is dying, too. He tells her that they have a lot in common: both adopted, both can't die. He knocks their wine glasses together and forces her to drink. She says she will make sure he dies. He says she'll just get bored after 100 years of trying to kill him. Maybe she will come to forgive him... even love him. He plays with her hair. He whispers in her ear, "You could be my first First Lady."

Peter and Nathan arrive at the hotel, and demand to talk to Liam Samuels. The security guard calls, tells Samuels Nathan has arrived, and then looks at him: "He says you're already inside."

Samuels asks what is going on, and Nathan and Peter explain that Sylar is a shapeshifter. Nathan says, "He's one of us."  He levitates, and tells Liam that he's been lying to everyone about his ability, and will take responsibility when the time comes. But first they need to stop Sylar. If they can get Peter close enough, he can absorb Sylar's abilities and stop him. They ask for a five minute head start. Peter and Nathan walk toward the suite, and decide Peter will take him high, Nathan will take him low. "I love you, Pete," Nathan says, and Peter says he loves him, too. They stand at the door just as Sylar throws Claire through it. They dive into the room as Sylar uses his electrical power to shock Nathan and throw him to the side. The doors slam. Claire jumps up and tries to get back inside. She peeks through the split-door, and we hear crashing and electrical outbursts flying. It stops as she looks away. She opens the doors and sees the destroyed room. Peter gets up. He says they left through the window, but he can't fly after them. They run to find them. They run outside as Sylar throws Nathan back through the window, stands him up, and points to his throat. He slits it. Blood gushes out, as Nathan falls back into a chair. Sylar laughs. "Claire is going to be so mad at me." He looks over Nathan's dead body, takes Nathan's shape in his street clothes, and walks out.

Matt Parkman arrives in D.C., and is met by Angela. She tells him about her dream and how Matt will save Nathan. He says he can't. He came to stop the agents, not to save Nathan. She says they want the same thing, and without Nathan, none of that is possible. He reluctantly agrees.
