Nathan comes into the room to see Peter on camera grabbing some weapons, and wonders how he knows about the storage unit. Danko says that he “reserves judgment.” (What does that mean, exactly?) Nathan wants him caught, but no bloodshed allowed. (Because that’s really been working well for him so far.) Danko tells his men to have their “tasers on stun” (and I envy someone who can actually say that seriously). Like 20 troops move into the unit to capture Peter. He rolls out an explosive into the hall, surprises them, and flies out. Peter: 1, Hunter: 0.

HRG tells Parkman and Suresh that they sent Peter into a trap because they will be looking for him since he never “checked in.” Parkman wants  to know who exactly he checks in with, and gets back into his head to find out.

3 weeks ago: Danko welcomes HRG to Building 26, and they quickly get into a heated discussion about the humanity of the heroes. (If it wasn't laid on thick enough for you before, they really need you to know that: DANKO THINKS THE HEROES ARE RABID ANIMALS.) HRG claims his ways with the Company, working alongside benign heroes, were successful, and Danko disagrees. HRG thought he would be in charge... but he thought wrong. Danko walks off, and we have a new feud.

Still 3 weeks ago: HRG gets into Suresh’s taxi, tells him about the government program and asks for his help. (Actually, for his brain and strength. That sounds a little weird.) Parkman gets out of HRG’s head and confronts Mohinder about knowing the plan ahead of time. Mohinder says he never believed HRG (well, who would?). They get into a scuffle and yell some more about Daphne, but in the meantime HRG takes a glass shard, cuts his ties, and escapes. They chase after, looking for him in the motel parking lot.  HRG hides behind a car, breaks off an antenna and uses it to unlock a car. He starts to hot-wire it when Peter slams down on the windshield, and delivers another killer line: “Hi.”

They’re back in the motel room, for brain reading redux. Parkman goes back one week ago: HRG knocks on an apartment door, #9. It’s Danko’s. He comes inside, saying that they got off on the wrong foot. He thinks that they should talk to see where each other is coming from. Danko claims he already knows that HRG is a mix between a Company and Family man, which makes him compromised. HRG accuses him of lacking humanity because he lives to work, and you need humanity to understand these people with abilities (Oh look! HRG THINKS HEROES ARE HUMAN. Thanks for laying it all out, writers.) Danko asks if he can trust HRG to take orders, and HRG says, “You’re the boss.”
