After killing his first victim, Gabriel Gray feels remorse and tries to hang himself, but Elle shows up in the nick of time to save him. She's not there by accident - she's on orders from HRG so the Company can better understand Gabriel's unique ability to transfer powers from one vessel to another. It really makes you wonder why the Petrellis, who are involved with the Company, didn't step in and admit their relationship with Gabriel Gray right there.

Elle returns to Gabriel's apartment with pie, and she lays on the flirting a little thick. Knowing that Kristen Bell and Zachary Quinto are good friends in real-life and that he's part of the reason she got this role, it makes these scenes that much more enjoyable. If only those Petrellis weren't around to bring down this episode.

She wants to leave Gabriel alone because she's developing real feelings for him, but HRG is certain that he's bad news. He convinces her to introduce Gabriel to another person with abilities to see if he'll kill him. During a pseudo-date with Gabriel, Elle brings over Trevor in what might, under other circumstances, be the strangest attempt at a menage a trois ever.

Her little seduction works, and Gabriel gets angry that she calls Trevor "special," so he knocks him down and throws Elle out before killing Trevor. Elle is furious that they made Gabriel become a killer when they could have saved him. HRG brushes it off as nothing before hopping into Mohinder's cab to complete another scene from the series premiere.

Next week on Heroes: There's something about an eclipse.  Between spirit walks and eclipses, I'm beginning to think Tim Kring isn't stealing from X-Men, but he's actually stealing from Avatar: The Last Airbender.
