Claire and her adopted mom Sandra decide to go find Meredith, who is still trapped by the creepy fat puppet master Doyle. In the world of
Heroes, Sandra Bennet could be the best underrated character. Meredith is being manipulated by Doyle, who can control people's every move. Sandra and Claire show up, but they get captured by the puppet master as well.
Doyle plays a fun game of Russian Roulette, forcing the women to shoot each other. Sandra is tasked with shooting her daughter, and armed with the knowledge that she's invincible, Sandra pulls the trigger three times before shooting her daughter. Thinking she's dead, Doyle loses interest in Claire, letting her come back and knock him out. HRG comes in to clean up the mess.
Sylar is obsessed with the notion of doing good, so he finds Peter and asks for his help. It seems their mom really was paralyzed at the end of last week's episode, even though I thought that was just in her future dream. I guess Arthur Petrelli is a little like Freddy Krueger. Peter reads his comatose mom's mind and sees the Pinehearst symbol.
Peter wants to rush off, but Sylar doesn't think it's a good idea. They have a huge fight over who mommy loves the most. Milo Ventimigla may be easy on the eyes, and I kind of liked Jess on
Gilmore Girls, but his acting ever since Peter stole Sylar's power has been atrociously bad and over-the-top.
Peter visits Pinehearst and meets dear, old dad. Arthur wants to give his son a hug, but he uses it as an opportunity to use his power, which is the ability to drain others of their powers. Peter tries to fight back, but he has no more powers, and daddy has them all.
