In Haiti, Nathan is a prisoner of the Haitian’s evil brother, Baron Samedi. He’s a bad dude, as indicated by the way he turns women into prostitutes. Peter and the Haitian knock out Samedi and rescue Nathan in the least climactic prison break ever. Peterstays behind to hold off the bad guys while his more important brother runs. For once, I agree with Peter’s decision. However, the eclipse passes, Baron Samedi becomes impenetrable again, and the Haitian returns to melt his brother’s mind.
Everyone is safe, but the adventure taught Nathan a valuable lesson about helping others, so rather than help stop their father, he’s going to various third world countries to try and save the world by preventing genocide.
Arthur and Flint torture Mohinder until he can become an astrophysicist to figure out how the eclipse stole the powers. Mohinder fights back, beating the hell out of Flint in a scene that is laughably ridiculous because there’s no way Mohinder could beat up Flint. Mohinder flees to see Maya, proving just how stupid he really is, but the eclipse passes and he returns to his creepy fly self, making him run back to Pinehearst.
In Kansas, Daphne doesn’t have polio or rickets, but cerebral palsy. A rare and often unreported side effect of cerebral palsy is bitchiness, because she’s angry at Parkman for no real reason. After the eclipse passes and they both have their powers back, all is forgiven. They go to get Ando, but Hiro is gone, so they try to find him in the comic book. The problem is that the latest issue was the last one written by Isaac Mendez before his death. However, Seth Green heard an urban legend that there is one more 9th Wonders story in the possession of a bike messenger.
