Bryan Fuller is back on Heroes and as promised, the writer-producer-genius behind the show's acclaimed first season will try to get Heroes back to its groove even if it means killing off some beloved characters.  And his timing couldn't be better.  Word on the street is that one of the show's major stars has asked to leave the series at the end of the current season.

Apparently, the Heroes cast member is upset with not getting enough screen time and is asking to be let go of his or her contract at the end of the season. And in order for that to happen, a death scene has reportedly been written for the actor's character at the conclusion of season 3.

E! Online released the article, which served as a “blind item,” and doesn't name the actor and actress that is asking to leave the NBC series.  On the other hand, it does hint on some juicy clues.  Taking out the said actor will likely create chaos among fans since he or she has been on Heroes since the first season, and based on the actor's popularity, the network is not likely to release such a valuable asset. Moreover, the actor could easily be revived from an end-of-season death if he or she stays on the show (just like every other character on the series).  But probably the most important clue is that the actor "has more name recognition than others in the cast."

Could it be Masi Oka? Hayden Panettiere? Ali Larter?  They have all appeared since the beginning of the series, all have some bigger name recognition, and can easily come back to life through time-travel, regeneration, or a new twin.  Fans will just have to stay tuned for the rest of the season to find out.  Heroes returns with new episodes beginning Monday, Feb 2 at 9pm ET/PT on NBC.
