It's Heroes time, and we're about to see if the buzz for Bryan Fuller was worth it. I've heard "Cold Snap" is the best episode since "Company Man." Let's find out...

We open on Danko, shaving in his bathroom. (Remember, Sylar’s in the house!) Guess he never saw our villain. His alarm system goes off, saying “Front door open.” He gets out his gun and checks it out. He closes the door, and looks around, gun pointed. He then sees Doyle strapped up in a creepy puppet-esque way in his drapes, unconscious. He approaches and there’s a tag on the body that says, “My gift to you.” Just then, Doyle’s eyes open.

In New York City: HRG gets in a car, where he meets Angela. She says this will be their last conversation. So much is depending on his front with the government, and it all comes down to HRG to make Danko trust him. Angela tells him to turn over a hero to gain Danko’s trust—she suggests Rebel. Angela is leaving the city. She gives her umbrella to HRG and tells him he has 15 minutes to catch the next rail. In exchange, he tells her not to go home—the agents are after her.

In Building 26: Danko takes Mohinder into a room where heroes are all unconscious and hooked up to machines. He says it’s an effective way of stopping them. Mohinder sees Daphne and says she needs to be in a hospital, but Danko says he didn’t bring Mohinder there to help—just then an agent comes up behind and tranquilizes Mohinder. He plans the same fate for Tracy. HRG walks in, and Danko says he’s brought HRG a “present”—Doyle, who’s hooked up in the room as well. Danko takes credit for catching Doyle. HRG tells him that Rebel has been hacking their system and plans to get Tracy out. He convinces Danko to let Tracy go, so she’ll lead them to Rebel. Danko agrees, but says that if they don’t catch Rebel, HRG needs to kill Tracy and chalk it up to self-defense.

Back with Hiro and Ando, our Japanese boys are quite confused. Hiro thinks they’re dealing with a baby-version of the actual Matt Parkman, but Ando sees that it might be Parkman’s baby. He wonders why they need to save this kid. (He makes a hilarious jab at Chinese lead-based toys—nice.) Their answer: the baby touches the TV, and it turns on—even though it’s unplugged. Matt Jr. has a power—which means they’re coming for him.

Angela is stuck in traffic and has a premonition—she slips out of her car in the nick of time before agents stop the car.  Agents look around for her, but it’s raining and crowded, and she snuggles up to a man with an umbrella, asking to share it. HRG tells Danko that they missed her, and Danko thinks someone tipped her. HRG reminds him that Angela has a way of avoiding things. The lights in Building 26 go out—“Rebel, Rebel,” HRG half-sings (This David Bowie reference has just convinced me that the writing on this show HAS improved. Score one for Bryan Fuller!) Tracy sees the lights go out, and the door to her cell opens automatically. She freezes her restraints and walks out. The outer door unlocks for her, and she walks into the lab where Mohinder and the rest of the heroes are lying knocked out. She gets Matt and Mohinder. Matt gets Daphne, who’s still unconscious. Tracy doesn’t want to get slowed down by them. She runs out, and they catch up as guards accost them. Matt uses his power to convince them it’s all clear in the hall, and the agents run past. Danko tells HRG his new plan: if she leads him to Rebel, he needs to kill them both.
