Previously on Heroes: Arthur Petrelli may or may not be evil, Sylar may or may not be working with him, and the show ticked off nearly every remaining fan by being worse than ever.  But maybe Peter's stupid emo hair will win them back.

Hiro's drug-induced vision quest sends him back 18 months to the Petrelli parents' anniversary party. Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) is still an ADA, Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) is a long-haired nurse, and Linderman is in the house conspiring with Arthur to stop Nathan's investigation. The two old men are right out of Shakespeare, complete with Linderman referring to Arthur as "my king."

They plot the death of Nathan to save themselves, which leads to Nathan being run off the road and his wife Heidi being paralyzed. Oh good, Heroes is retreading the exact same territory it covered in past seasons. This episode is a lot like running on a treadmill: a whole lot of effort and you don't get anywhere.

Later Angela (Cristine Rose) overhears Arthur and Linderman lament their failed murder attempt, and she freaks out until Arthur uses his powers of persuasion to get her to think Nathan has to die. That power is eerily similar to Maury Parkman's. Maybe they're brothers, meaning Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg) would be Peter, Nathan and Sylar's cousin.

Linderman feels bad about everything, so he offers to heal Angela's scars from the many times Arthur has forced thoughts into her head. She remembers the attempted murder of Nathan, so with the help of the Haitian to dampen Arthur's abilities, she poisons his food at dinner.

Before they can dispose of the body, Nathan arrives and calls for an ambulance. At the hospital the doctor tells Angela and Nathan that Arthur is dead, but the doctor was simply under the control of Arthur.

This brings Hiro back to the present where he realizes they must warn everyone about the evil Arthur Petrelli. Unfortunately, while Hiro was vision questing, African Isaac lost his head, literally. Arthur Petrelli is in Africa, and he's not too happy that Hiro was dreaming about him, so he has no choice but to take away Hiro's powers.
