The villains are now running the show on Heroes, with Arthur Petrelli rising from the dead and stealing people's powers left and right. Despite some plot problems, I still find this new supervillain alliance fascinating, because there's nothing cooler than bad guys working together. It's something I've been intrigued by ever since the original Batman movie where The Joker, The Riddler, The Penguin and Catwoman joined forces to turn the United Nations into dust.

This Monday's brand new episode of Heroes, “Eris Quod Sum,” promises to develop the ultimate evil goal of Arthur Petrelli's villainous empire. Peter is powerless, Mohinder keeps up his mad scientist persona, and most importantly, Kristen Bell finally returns as Elle. If your Latin is a little rusty, the title of this episode means “You will be what I am.” Given the Petrelli family drama of volume 3, this seems to be another step in the direction of choosing what parent's image you will turn yourself into. Do people have a choice about turning good or evil, or is that decided by your parents? Heroes is quickly turning into a forum to discuss “nature vs. nurture,” since some heroes are born with powers, others are given them.

According to NBC's official description, Hiro will continue to train under the tutelage of African Isaac, Elle will seek out Claire for help, Mohinder will continue his wacky genetic experiments using Maya, Tracy and Nathan as guinea pigs, Angela Petrelli will enlist her son Sylar's help in saving Peter and Daphne will face a tough choice: kill Parkman or be killed herself.

First up, we have a clip of Peter and Arthur discussing the future and the endgame for the Pinehearst Villains. As is often the case with villains, Arthur makes some compelling points and seems like a rational, level-headed guy. Maybe that's just because Milo Ventimiglia is still using his “more is more” approach to acting.
