Heroes - Claire... Who's your daddy?

Consider this installment a
Heroes spoiler report with a healthy dose of well informed speculation. Just who is the father of
Heroes cheerleader? The speculation is fast and furious but with a little deep research into
Heroes interviews from way back, we think we've found the answer.
First up a rumor. if you've seen the preview for next weeks
Heroes titled 'Distractions', you probably know that Sylar knocks HRG around and winds up in his house. The rumor is that HRG shows up and kills Sylar and also accidentally shoots someone else. Interesting.
Now onto the matter of Claire's daddy. First a disqualifier. The role of Linderman has been given to Malcom McDowell who will not be appearing for several episodes. Now, Sylar appeared before he was cast on
Heroes, so it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility that it will be Linderman, but since McDowell is not to appear for several episodes, it does seem rather unlikely.
Looking back, however, way back to December first, I found an interview (Source -
Eonline) with Adrian Pasdar who plays Nathan where he said something very interesting regarding an upcoming revelation:
I will say the relationships get much tighter. Familial bonds are revealed, with somebody you probably don't suspect...I didn't expect it when I read the script. But furthering the issues that have been set up is really the responsibility of the second half of the season. I can't talk too specifically about it, but it does get more intense, if that's possible.
Now, nowhere does he say that the Familial bonds involve his character, but it does seem to carry that tone. Is he old enough? Yes. As a matter of fact, Pasdar is 41 which is plenty old enough to have a teenage daughter; even a daughter of drinking age if he flunked family planning.
What would the implications be for the
Heroes universe? For starters it would tie together four people with abilities, Nathan, Peter, Claire's mom, and Claire and would take care of that pesky Peter Claire 'ship that everybody is pushing for (that the producers would never dare to do for at least five or six more seasons.)
