Last year, Heroes arrived as a surprise hit, even to its proud network NBC, and now with its second season the pressure is on for Heroes to prove its charms are durable.  With last season's plight of a nuclear man dealt with, the Heroes find themselves scattered, with some presumed dead.

As the season 1 veterans try to rebuild normal lives, new heroes begin to arrive on the scene, and new dangers as well.  Meanwhile, trapped in the ancient past, Hiro will encounter a character who may hold a secret of vital importance to people with abilities everywhere.  Back in present day, a new evil draws its plan while the nefarious Sylar ponders his next step in becoming the prime variable in the genetic equation.
