Ted Danson was born on December 29, 1947. He is best known for his portrayal of Sam Malone in the classic sitcom Cheers. During his school days, he was a basketball star who became interested in drama later on. He began his acting career by appearing in the soap opera Somerset. Shortly, he guest starred in TV programs like Laverne and Shirley, B.J. and the Bear, Magnum P.I and Benson. Later, he starred in the sitcom called Becker. He has also worked on many movies and is currently part of the television series Help Me, Help You as Dr. Bill Hoffman. Dr. Bill Hoffman is a therapist and the author of many psychotherapy books.
