Last time on Hell's Kitchen: The remaining six chefs became one team--who performed miserably in service--and Ramsay sent Giovanni packing after a dismal display at the meat station. And then he threw the remaining five a curveball: "I'm shutting down Hell's Kitchen."
Tonight: Ramsay tells Danny, Robert, Ben, Andrea, and Paula that they will all leave tomorrow morning... to go to the Borgata in Atlantic City, where one of them will become head chef.

Ramsay wants them to come to terms with what's at stake, and get inspired. He sends them upstairs to get their bags packed. The chefs all display a renewed sense of energy for the trip. They board a private jet, where they drink champagne and celebrate. As they descend into Atlantic City, they see a billboard proclaiming "Welcome Hell's Kitchen Finalists!" The hotel marketing director and the "Borgata Babes" greet them.
They give the chefs some presents and send them up to their rooms. The next morning, the chefs get a tour of the resort, and learn that on a given day around 15,000 people come through the resort. They then head to restaurant row, and it's like a "fine dining food court," says Robert. Food is one of the main priorities at Borgata. They take a look at the massive empty space that will be Ramsay's new restaurant, and the chefs each daydream about what their restaurant would look like in the space. It becomes real to each of them: even Andrea is speechless.
The chefs continue their tour, including a spa treatment, wine tasting, and a dip in the pool. They get some much-appreciated relaxation, and get a taste for what one of them can experience when they win. The chefs then meet the Borgata's VP of Food and Beverage and their Executive Chef. As the Hell's Kitchen chefs discuss their opportunities at Borgata, Robert quietly excuses himself and walks outside. He seeks medical attention for chest pain, and a Borgata paramedic checks his vitals in the hall. She suggests that he go to the hospital for elevated blood pressure, and he unwillingly goes in an ambulance to the hospital. He calls Ben and tells him that something is seriously wrong with him. They're not sure if it's a heart attack, but he needs to stay overnight in the hospital. The other chefs are saddened and hope that Robert can return to Hell's Kitchen.
The other four return the next day without Robert, still unsure of his condition, and worried he won't be able to come back. After a couple days without word, Ramsay calls the four chefs down and makes an announcement... Robert walks in the door. He returns to tell them himself that he has a condition of swelling around his heart, which leads to heart disease. He will not be returning to Hell's Kitchen.
Hugs and tears are shared as Robert says his goodbyes, and Ramsay congratulates Robert on his good work, and tells him that he had the potential to win. Robert gives back his jacket and leaves Hell's Kitchen.
