Just when you thought that
Hawaii Five-0 couldn't get any more interesting, the hit CBS procedural drama has just beefed up its already exciting ensemble as it heads to its third season.
According to
EW, Academy Award nominee
Terrence Howard has been booked a guest spot on the upcoming season. The said episode involves flashbacks from the former life of Scott Caan's character, Danny, as a cop in New Jersey. Earlier this month,
TV Line has also confirmed the casting of
Pulp Fiction actor
Ving Rhames as Billy, a man also from Danny's past.
Apart from Howard and Rhames,
Hawaii Five-0's third season will also feature a new character in the person of the Emmy Award winner and
Chicago Hope vet
Christine Lahti. According to
Deadline, Lahti will play the recurring role of Doris McGarrett, the presumed dead mother of Alex O'Loughlin's character, Steve. "The mysterious character of Doris McGarrett is a pivotal one to the mythology of our show. We are thrilled to have a seasoned and beloved actress such as Christine to portray her," explains executive producter Peter Lenkov.
On the other hand, after becoming a series regular in season 1 and appearing once in season 2,
Taryn Manning returns to the islands to reprise her role as Steve's little sister, Mary Ann, for season 3.
TV Guide reports, Manning's character will try to find answers related to their mother's faking of her own death 20 years earlier.
And on to arguably the most interesting casting news so far: a Kardashian is about to make her acting debut on
Hawaii Five-0 season 3 -
Kendall Jenner! Yes, you read that right. She announced the big news on her
blog, even hinting about an October airing of her episode.
With all these casting developments, how about a recap of where we left last season:
