Season 2 of Happy Endings
promises just as many wild and crazy antics to keep viewers holding their sides and wiping their tears as season 1. There are a ton of random issues that Dave (Zachary Knighton), Alex (Elisha Cuthbert), Penny (Casey Wilson), Max (Adam Pally), Jane (Eliza Coupe) and Brad (Damon Wayans, Jr.) find themselves faced with this season.
While the return of the show brought us a game of "frolf," a guy named Glaze and the start of "The Year of Penny," the rest of the season promises so much more! Avid fans who keep the element of surprise near and dear to your hearts, please hit the back button because it is time for Happy Endings
season 2 spoilers!
The cast was recently the center of attention at the Paley Center for Media which held an event for Happy Endings
. Here the cast answered questions about the upcoming season, spilling several spoilers.
Dave's steak sandwich food truck will be making a bigger impression this season.
Dave and Alex start dating again. Don't get your hopes up, people! They're not dating each other. At some point this season, they'll broaden their horizons and re-enter the dating scene, just not sitting across from one another.
We've already been introduced to Alex's sacrifice when hit with money troubles (she moved in with Penny), yet what about the same for Max? Well, it seems that Max will have to find a job. Or perhaps jobs? Apparently, he'll have a few "schemes," Pally describes. This should be worth the wait.
'Happy Endings' Season 2 Preview Guide: Old Friends
Jane and Brad are thinking about the future. Not only will they give a swing at living the suburban life, but Jane will spring into action, practicing for a child of her own. One might think of pets or plants, but no supposedly someone's child will be "borrowed."
Guest stars may be bountiful this season. Playing Penny's mother is, of course, Megan Mullally. (It just makes sense, doesn't it?) More parents are said to be introduced, but no word on who may be taking on any roles. Also, a few old friends will return including Avi (Paul Scheer), Merlinda Shershow (June Raphael) and possibly Brad's dad (Damon Wayans).
Cuthbert will display her invisible hula hooping skills.
Lastly, but certainly not least... the Halloween episode is said to be the one to look for. Costumes will be most impressive, although we have no word on who will be who. A few things we do know, though, are Jane and Brad will NOT be dressed as a couple and Fred Savage will be making a guest appearance.
is sure to deliver laugh after laugh this coming season. What do you think? Are you looking forward to what these Happy Endings
