Miley Cyrus To Release Debut Album Next Week
Miley Cyrus, daughter of country artist Billy Ray Cyrus and star of the hit show Hannah Montana, will be releasing a two-disc album, Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus, on June 26th.

The first disc contains songs performed by Cyrus as Hannah Montana. Tracks included in the disc are “Make Some Noise,” “We Got the Party (With Us),” “Life’s What You Make It,” “You and Me Together,” “True Friend” and “Rock Star.”

The second disc features songs performed by Cyrus as herself, consequently making it her debut album. The track list includes “See You Again,” “Let’s Dance,” “Girls Night Out,” “Right Here,” “He Needs Me,” “Start All Over” “Goodbye” and “I Miss You.” According to Cyrus’ official website, most of the songs in the second disc were written by the Hannah Montana star.

The 14-year-old singer-actress first became interested in acting while she was on the set of her father’s now defunct comedy series, Doc. She originally tried out for another role in the hit Disney series, but because of her energy and passion, was cast in the role of Miley Stewart, also known as Hannah Montana. Cyrus’ father co-stars in the show, along with Emily Osment, Mitchel Musso and Jason Earles.

As part of the album’s promotion, Cyrus made an appearance on Total Request Live (TRL) on June 18th. The following morning, she headed to the Licensing International Expo 2007, where she also made announcements regarding her new fashion line and youth electronics. She was joined by Andy Mooney, Chairman of Disney Consumer Products and Rich Ross, President of Disney Channel Worldwide.

Cyrus will also hold two free concerts for Hannah Montana fans. The first concert, which will be held in Bryant Park, New York, is scheduled for this Friday. The second concert, which will be held in Hollywood, Los Angeles, is scheduled for Tuesday, the same day as the release of her debut album.

Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus has been priced at $22.99.
