Amidst the scandal that
Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus has faced recently, she still managed to focus on more important things, like her career. Also, there's her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, who apparently influenced several aspects of her life. One of which is her music.
Miley Addresses Controversies and Perez Hilton CaseOn an interview reported by
MTV News, the pop sensation admitted that the songs on her new CD revolve around the Australian actor. As many know, they met on the set of
The Last Song and starred side by side. They've been spotted together ever since.
"There are a lot of songs that are about Liam," the 17-year-old Miley Cyrus said about her latest album,
Can't Be Tamed. "I tell him every one's about him."
No wonder Hemsworth is such a fan already. "[Liam] likes 'Permanent December,' I think a lot, but only because it says Australia and he's Australian, so he likes that it says that," the Hannah Montana actress exclaimed. "And he loves 'Tamed.' He's trying to make me teach him the [video] dance, but I refuse to do it."
Sources say that Liam's not too fond of Miley Cyrus' recent antics though.
Showbiz Spy reports an insider telling BettyConfidential, "He's jealous. He knows it's part of her act, but he's not thrilled that guys in the audience are seeing his girlfriend dressed in lingerie."
But seeing as how he's the inspiration for Miley's new album, you'd think he'd be happy enough already. Anyway, Cyrus also discussed
Can't Be Tamed with the
Associated Press, and you can catch the video below.
In addition to her fame as a singer, Miley Cyrus is also hoping to gain more success as an actress. But that doesn't mean she'll be returning to her
Hannah Montana roots. This time, the star's going "dark."
Miley Cyrus Finds It Harder to Grow UpCyrus has already signed on for another novel-based movie, the paranormal thriller
Wake.
Disney Dreaming reports that the star has been cast as protagonist Janie, who has the ability to transport herself into the dreams of others. The film is adapted from Lisa McMann's trilogy, meaning the Disney starlet could reprise the role in the future.
