On the heels of the recent fuss brought about by the surfacing of various provocative images of
Miley Cyrus on the internet and on the cover of
Vanity Fair, the buzz is that the pictures may have led to the decline in audience numbers for
Hannah Montana. According to the Nielsen ratings, the teen show has experienced a 14% drop in viewers since the
Vanity Fair photos, taken be famed photographer, Annie Leibovitz, came out. Despite the slide, Disney's president and chief executive officer has assured that the Hannah Montana franchise is just as solid as ever.
In other news, Miley Cyrus could soon be part of a duet alongside none other than established Hollywood heavyweight, John Travolta. The news reportedly comes straight from Travolta's wife, Kelly Preston.

“Johnny may sing with Miley,” The Celebrity Café reports Preston as saying Friday during the Step Up Women's Network's Inspiration Awards luncheon in Beverly Hills.
Her hubby and the
Hannah Montana star are already lending their voices to characters on the upcoming animated film,
Bolt. Now, Preston claims the two may actually wind up doing a song together. The movie tells the tale of a white German Shepherd (voiced by Travolta) and her human, Penny (voiced by Cyrus). The story of a dog who thinks he possesses super powers opens November 26.
Of course, the actress didn't get through her brief interview without being asked for her input on Miley's
Vanity Fair pictures. Preston carefully skirted addressing it directly, offering instead a vague and guarded response to the sticky inquiry.
“We know Miley very well. All I know is that I know her personally and she's a really good girl with a great head on her shoulders,” Preston simply said.
For his part, Disney's president and CEO Bob Iger said in a separate interview: “With a new season of shows coming up, a new record in July and a theatrical film next year, the
Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus franchise is incredibly robust.”
