Hannah Montana

This Sunday, Hannah Montana will return for its first new episode since March.  On the last episode, Miley's Uncle Earl came to town to become a rock star.  Embarrassed by her uncle, Miley finally learns to accept him for who he is and gave him his moment in the spotlight.  David Koechner guest starred as Uncle Earl.  This Sunday, another guest star heads to Hannah Montana, but it's a face we've seen before.  Brooke Shields will return as Miley's mom.  Shields first appeared on the show last year, in a flashback.

In the new episode, "The Way We Almost Weren't", Shields will again appear in a flashback sequence.  After a performance on the road, all Miley and Jackson want to do is get home and crawl into bed.  Their dad, Robby, had other plans, though.  He makes a pit stop at a diner and when Miley gets off the tour bus, she almost gets hit by lightning.  The near death experience causes her to have a vision and she realizes that the diner is where her father and mother first met.

Miley Cyrus has recently been hit hard with bad press surrounding her Vanity Fair photo shoot.  After a semi-provacative picture, shot by celebrity photographer Annie Liebovitz, hit the internet, Miley took a beating from all sides.  She canceled an appearance at a Disney press event in Florida this weekend.  Though Disney or Miley did not give a definitive reason for the cancellation, it is believed that she is laying low amidst the scandal.

Both Annie Liebovitz and Vanity Fair have defended the pictures while Miley has apologized to her fans.  She said that, at the time, she thought they were artistic but looking back, she feels embarrassed by them.  She apologized to her fans if they got the wrong impression of her after seeing the photos.
