'Hannah Montana' Star Cody Linley Goes 'Over Here!' on Broadway
Following his success on the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana and that stint on Dancing with the Stars, Cody Linley has finally hit it big.  The 20-year-old star has been tapped for a role on the upcoming Broadway musical, Over Here!  Surely, this will get his fans screaming over there, as he makes his stage debut in New York.

Radar Online reports that Linley will have a role in the remake, which hopes to open on the Great White Way next year.  It might just make it in the first few months of 2010, but it's not all that's in store for the actor's career.

Apparently, Cody Linley had planned to star in his own Disney Channel Original Movie, titled Starstruck.  But with the conflicts in schedule regarding his Broadway move, it didn't push through.  His supposed role went instead to Sterling Knight, known for his roles in Sonny with a Chance and as Lucas in Hannah Montana.

"The start dates on both kept shifting and Over Here! was contractually in first position, so he had to give up Starstruck," Cody Linley's rep said.

Still, his forthcoming Broadway performance is really something to look forward to.  According to its Wikipedia article, Over Here! is a follow-up to the World War II musical Victory Canteen set in cross-country train trip.

The original production has been nominated for several Tony Awards, and even won a couple of Drama Desk Awards.  It surely is a thrilling endeavor for Cody Linley, but the guy has a lot to live up to.  While his role in Over Here! hasn't been revealed yet, there's already a lot of buzz surrounding the news.

"Cody is very so excited about going to Broadway," the actor's rep exclaimed.

Having just celebrated his 20th birthday last Friday, Cody Linley appearing on Over Here! is quite a surprise for him and his fans.  Again, the production is set for early next year, so don't forget to mark those calendars.
