This weekend, Miley Cyrus
headed to Lake Buena Vista, Florida to tape a segment for the “Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade”. She will kick off the parade with a performance of “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” and dad Billy Ray
will also perform his remake of the song “Run Rudolph Run”. The holiday special will be hosted by Regis Philbin, Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, and airs on Christmas Day from 10:00am-12:00pm ET on ABC. Though Disney has not confirmed the lineup, the Orlando Sentinel has released a list of stars they saw at the taping including: The Jonas Brothers, Joey Fatone and Drew Lachey, Josh Groban, The Harlem Boys Choir, Whitney Houston, and several stars from the High School Musical
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
Miley will soon say goodbye to 2008, a year that was very good to her. Hollywood Reporter recently released their list of the 100 most powerful women in entertainment and the Hannah Montana
star was one of only two actresses to make the list. Disney Channel's senior vice-president for original programming Adam Bonnett said that Miley’s success is credited to her ability to be the audience's best friend. "In this business, where there's lots of copycats and wannabes, Miley's able to really stand out," Bonnett added.
The list, courtesy of the Hollywood Reporter, is filled with studio presidents and CEOs. Angelina Jolie, the only other actress on the list, sits at number 24 while talk show host and entertainment mogul Oprah Winfrey is number 1. Cyrus certainly earns her place on the list this year. The 16-year-old actress and singer had a number one album, a $65 million-grossing concert-film, not to mention her wildly popular television show. Disney recently announced that Hannah Montana
had been picked up for a third season.
