With rumors swirling that
Miley Cyrus is thinking of leaving
Hannah Montana, the teen star might want to just stay with Disney as long as humanly possible. The Walt Disney Company has been good to Miley, giving her a hit television show, a booming music career, and soon, will help catapult her to become a bona fide movie star. They are throwing her one heck of a sweet 16 birthday party at Disneyland in just a few short weeks, where she’ll celebrate with 5,000 of her closest fans. Yesterday, fans swarmed the Disney park to catch a sneak peek at just about every Disney movie coming out between now and 2012, one of them being
Hannah Montana: The Movie, and Miley and Billy Ray were on hand to greet fans.
Hannah Montana: The Movie was originally supposed to be released on May 1, 2009 but Disney announced this week that it was being moved up to April 10. The movie was previously going to go up against the X-Men movie Wolverine, but now will face off against the big screen adaptations of
Dragonball Z as well as the Seth Rogen/Anna Faris comedy,
Observe and Report. We take it Miley and company aren’t too worried. In fact, the young star was nothing but excited about her new movie. "I think what the movie shows is that it's really hard to stay grounded [when you become famous], because everybody's saying, 'Yes, yes, yes,' " she explained. "Your real friends are the people who say 'no' sometimes."
Miley unveiled a new song from her movie at the Disney event, despite rumors that she was having vocal trouble. Star magazine reported that Miley was suffering from a vocal cord nodule caused by straining of the voice. Miley’s rep told Access Hollywood that the story was “not true at all”. Miley Cyrus has also been reassuring fans over the last week, letting them know that she is “fully committed to
Hannah Montana” and has no plans of leaving anytime soon.
