Hannah Montana: Miley Cyrus Nominated For A Golden Globe
It was an early morning for Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus, who told People magazine that she was awake at 5:30am today.  She certainly started off her day right, with a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song.  Her song, "I Thought I Lost You", is from the animated movie, Bolt, and she recently performed it on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.  “I’m so stoked! I never expected to get nominated," she shared. "I can’t believe I’m on the same list as Clint Eastwood, Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen and everyone else.”  So just who is Miley thinking of bringing as her guest to the awards next month?  “I would love to have two dates," she admitted to People magazine. "I would love John Travolta to be my date because this is our movie, and Jeffrey Steele because he wrote the song with me and he’s such a good friend.”

In the category of Best Original Song, Miley will go up against "Down to Earth," WALL-E, music by Peter Gabriel; "Gran Torino," Gran Torino, music by Clint Eastwood; "Once in a Lifetime," Cadillac Records, music & lyrics by Beyoncé Knowles; and "The Wrestler," The Wrestler, music & lyrics by Bruce Springsteen.  Her animated film Bolt also racked up a nomination for Best Animated Feature Film and will compete against WALL-E and Kung Fu Panda.

Miley Cyrus is in good company with her nomination for the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards, which will air on January 11.  It is an awards ceremony full of A-List celebs and nominess, including: Leonardo DiCaprio, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Meryl Streep, Kate Winslet, Tom Cruise, Sally Field, Tina Fey, Steve Carell, and Hugh Laurie.  The films The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Doubt and Frost/Nixon racked up the most nominations, with five each.
