Racy photos of Miley Cyrus, who stars on Disney’s Hannah Montana, are the latest indication that that the singer is in the midst of a transformation that could take her from a tween sensation to a more mature artist. While Cyrus has yet to comment on her latest batch of photo scandal, one person close to her has decided to speak up and most importantly, give support to the 15-year-old actress under fire.

Joe Jonas, one of the members of the pop trio Jonas Brothers, has come to the defense of the young actress, a few days after provocative pictures surfaced online of the Hannah Montana star.  Though he claims that he has yet to see the controversial snapshots, he remains confident that Cyrus can rise above the negative press she’s been experiencing.

“We’re good friends of hers, and we got her back and we love her to death,” Jo Jonas told E!  “I think it’s just the way you come out of it.  As much as they say, no one’s perfect and everybody makes their mistakes.  I think it’s the way you handle it and come out of it the proper and respectful way.”

Joe, along with the rest of his siblings on Jonas Brothers, forged a friendship with Cyrus during her North American Best of Both Worlds Tour last fall.  The band served as the opening act on most of the sold-out concert series.

On the other hand, pictures showing the Hannah Montana star in her underwear have left the actress with many detractors seeing that this has immensely caused outrage in America, where Cyrus is a teen role model.  Among her critics is FOX News anchor Bill O’Reilly, who is keen to get to the bottom of the scandal and find out why and how the photos were leaked online earlier this week.

“We have so few role models, particularly for little girls in this country [and] she is the main one. I hate to see this,” O’Reilly said of Cyrus.  “Parents all over the country like this girl because she is clean-cut.  She’s 14 in these pictures – that is the problem.
