Jason Earles as Jackson Stewart

Jackson Rod Stewart of Disney Channel's hit television series, Hannah Montana is played by Jason Earles. Jackson is the older brother of Miley, a normal student turned teen pop sensation Hannah Montana. He is a high school student who spends more time looking at girls and hanging out with his friends rather than studying. He is a mediocre student who likes being silly and funny, while keeping his image in check. He lives in Malibu, California with his sister and father, who treats Miley as her normal self, rather than the big pop star she really is.

Jackson once posed as Hannah Montana's boyfriend just to keep Miley's secret, and used this incident to further gain popularity. He did not know that he owned a girly car until his best friend, Cooper told him that it really was. He then had his father change the horn from a high-pitched squeak to a truck horn, which sounded more masculine. His father also altered the car to be a low-rider and added hydraulics and a sound system to it. Finally, the car was repainted blue. Silly but creative, Jackson said that he paid part of the cost from selling tissues used by Miley when she was diagnosed with a sinus infection. He posted an advertisement over the Internet labeled "Used by Hannah Montana," pricing the used tissues at $37.95.

Aside from his pranks, Jackson also works hard at Rico's Surf Shop by the beach. The shop is named after its owner, whose bratty, manipulative son Jackson is forced to be nice with. He is also into volleyball, as he plays for the school team. He is also a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Lakers.

Despite having a good relationship with his sister, Jackson and Miley often fight over petty things. However, he has some clever ways of getting himself out of trouble, but he cannot avoid failure sometimes.

In season 1, Cooper was Jackson's best friend who loved to bake, but would not admit it. Cooper's sister, Oliver, harbored a crush on Jackson, but told her brother that she did not like him. In season 2, Thor became Jackson's best friend. Together, they made fun of Becky, whom they called Branless Bodacious Becky.
