Young Actors Join the Cast of 'Guiding Light'
Acting must run in Frank DiCopoulos' family, as his daughter, Olivia, has been tapped for a role on the CBS daytime drama, Guiding Light, wherein DiCopoulos stars as Frank Achilles Cooper, Jr.

Olivia will be taking over the role of Maureen Reardon, Vanessa (Maeve Kinkead) and Matt's (Kurt McKinney) tween daughter.  Maureen was last seen on-screen as an infant. Olivia will begin appearing on Guiding Light on Tuesday, October 16.

Meanwhile, beginning October 24, the role of Will Winslow, the adopted son of Cassie and Richard, will be played by Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick.  The 8 year-old actor recently appeared as Damien on the 2006 remake of The Omen, as Tommy Truex on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and on the short-lived NBC drama The Black Donnellys.

As for Guiding Light returnees, Daniel Cosgrove is set to reappear in the series sometime in early November.  The 36-year-old actor will reprise his role as Bill Lewis.  According to the network, Cosgrove's character comes back to Springfield “as a changed man,” potentially jeopardizing a reconciliation with Olivia Spencer (Crystal Chappell).

Cogrove first joined Guiding Light in 2002.  When he left in 2005, he landed a role in the primetime series, In Justice, appearing as Jon Lemonick.  He is currently appearing as Freddy Mason on the new CBS drama, Dirty Sexy Money.

Also returning to the popular soap is David Andrew MacDonald, who is expected to begin reprising his role as Prince Edmund Winslow on October 24.  The last time viewers saw MacDonald's Edmund, he was being hauled off to jail. The network reports his return “will have a dramatic effect on the entire town of Springfield.”

Guiding Light is the longest-running soap opera in daytime television.  It has been airing since 1937, and at present focuses on several core families, including the Spauldings, the Coopers and the Lewis-Shaynes.  It airs weekdays on CBS at 10am.
