Tina Sloan, who was born on February 1, 1943 in Bronxville, New York, is best known for her role of Lillian Raines on Guiding Light. She was educated at Ursuline School and Manhattanville College and moved on to acting with Bob McAndrew and Warren Robertson. Sloan appeared in Woody Allen films such as Celebrity and The Curse of the Jade Scorpion. Her other film credits include Changing Lanes, The Guru and People I Know. She also had recurring roles on soap operas such as Search for Tomorrow, Somerset and Another World. Aside from acting, Sloan enjoys marathon running, mountain climbing and traveling.

Lillian Raines of Guiding Light is played by Tina Sloan. Lillian is a nurse who got involved with men such as Mike Bauer, Lt. Jeff Saunders, Louie Darnell, Hawk Shayne and Ed Bauer. She is the mother of Beth, who was fathered by Lillian's first husband, a Vietnam war soldier. After marrying Bradley Raines, the family moved to Springfield and there, Bradley continued to abuse Lillian and Beth. Beth fell in love with the wealthy Phillip Spaulding, however, Bradley was angered at this relationship, thus he raped Beth.
