Born on November 4, 1980 in Providence, North Carolina, Marcy Rylan is best known for portraying Lizzie Spaulding on the soap opera, Guiding Light. She completed a two-year acting program at William Esper Studio and is currently completing her college education while pursuing her acting career part time. In 2006, she took the lead role in the cheerleading film Bring It On 3. Rylan guest starred on
Drake & Josh and also appeared in various national network commercials. Aside from acting, she enjoys dancing, yoga, Pilates, horseback riding and hiking. She also is engaged in community service and participates in NY Cares and LA Works.
Elizabeth Lillian "Lizzie" Spaulding of Guiding Light is played by Marcy Rylan. Born to Phillip Spaulding and Beth Raines Bauer, Lizzie has grown up in an unstable and difficult environment where she was forced to go through a chaotic and traumatic childhood and adolescence. Due to these troubles, she had periods of mental disturbance, much like her father.
