Beth Ehlers, who was born on July 23, 1968 in Queens, New York, attended a performing arts school by the name of Satellite Academy when she was a young girl. She later briefly attended Syracuse University before pursuing an acting career. Growing up in New York City, Ehlers began appearing on television commercials at the age of nine. She appeared in TV films such as Family Reunion, In Defense of Kids and Mystery at Fire Island. Her major film debut was in the movie The Hunger with David Bowie. In September 1987, Ehlers became part of the Guiding Light cast and was set to play Harley Davidson Cooper. Because of this portrayal, she received four Daytime Emmy Award nominations, including one in 2006 for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
Harley Davidson Cooper of Guiding Light is played by Beth Ehlers. Born to Frank Cooper Sr. and Nadine Corley, Harley is the sister of Frank Cooper Jr., Lucy Cooper, Henry Cooper Bradshaw and Rocky Cooper. She has been married three times in the past to Phillip Spaulding, AC Mallet and Alan-Michael Spaulding before finally settling down with Gus Aitoro.
