Guiding Light

-Romance Guiding Light (also known as "The Guiding Light" prior to 1975) is the longest running soap opera in American history. CBS first aired Guiding Light on January 25, 1937. On September 7, 2006 Guiding Light celebrated its 15,000th episode. The show chronicles the lives and struggles of residents first in the fictional town of Five Points before moving to Shelby Flats and now finally at Springfield. Unlike many television series, the Emmy-award winning Guiding Light is filmed currently at the CBS studio in Manhattan, New York.

Biography

Arielle Renwart became part of Guiding Light as Leah Bauer in April 2006. Before her work with the soap opera, she appeared in Langston Hughes' America with the Children’s Theatre Workshop. Aside from acting, Renwart is into modeling under the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency. She also enjoys running and archery.

Leah Bauer of Guiding Light is played by Arielle Renwart. Born to Dr. Rick Bauer and Dr. Mel Boudreau Bauer and Dr. Mel Boudreau Bauer, Leah was educated at a private boarding school. She returned to Springfield as a teenager and spent the summer there, to her father's delight. However, there was much family turmoil going on upon her return, and she immediately took her father's side, eventually helping her parents to reconcile.
