The departure of Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery, played by Kate Walsh, from Grey’s Anatomy for the spin off series, Private Practice, has certainly left viewers with mixed feelings but has given Derek and Meredith fans some level of comfort in knowing that the “McHot,” of Seattle Grace Hospital will soon be out of the picture. Although Addison’s exit sounds reassuring, that doesn’t mean that Meredith’s relationship with Derek is out of harm's way.

Enter Chyler Leigh, another possible troublemaker for the Derek-Meredith love affair. According to E! Online, Leigh, who plays the woman in the bar in the previews for this week, has just been offered a role in a multiple-episode arc for next season. Though it hasn’t been confirmed many entertainment sources have speculated that her participation on the series spells trouble.

Leigh, a 25-year old native of Charlotte, North Carolina, is an actress who has appeared in numerous movies like Not Another Teen Movie and Kick Boxing Academy. She has also appeared on television shows such as Rocky Point, North Shore, Kinetic City Super Crew, Saving Graces, Wilder Days and Reunion, which is her most recent acting gig prior to her participation in Grey’s Anatomy.

Many fans are anxious about the Leigh’s storyline on Grey’s Anatomy, hoping that her character has something to do with other cast members and not with “McDreamy.”

But looking back in previous episodes of the popular medical drama, there has always been a recurring hindrance to the Derek-Meredith romance, which producers keep adding into the plot. So whether or not trouble comes in the form of Leigh, fans can expect that chaos is often just around the corner for the Derek-Meredith love affair.
