In honor of Mother's Day, BuddyTV has compiled this list of our 10 favorite motherly moments.

This one is probably a bit cruel, and is most likely on this list because of my general distaste for Meredith Grey as a character, but no greater motherly moment came on Grey's Anatomy than when Ellis Grey (Kate Burton) temporarily recovered from her Alzheimer's only to be horrified by the fact that her once-driven daughter has settled for being a content intern dating a doctor.

Much like all great mothers, Ellis wanted Meredith to be the best she could be and her tirade was simply a combination of a mother's disappointment and dementia. Perhaps it was a bit cruel, but in the long run, Ellis just wanted Meredith to be the best, which isn't very bad at all.
