To help celebrate the end of the strike, and give back to the writers that it affected, the stars of
Grey’s Anatomy and
Private Practice are coming together to give back. While celebrities are able to afford the luxury of staying home or going on vacation during their time off, the writers depended on that income to provide for their families. "Obviously, these people lost a great deal of money, and we wanted to do something for them," said
Grey’s star
Sara Ramirez. Tonight, the stars came together to present “Good Medicine”, a night of music and comedy, to benefit the writers.

“Good Medicine” will raise money for the Solidarity Fund, which was formed by the WGA to help members that were affected by the strike. The evening’s guests (and performers) included Ellen Pompeo, Katherine Heigl, Sara Ramirez, Audra McDonald, Sandra Oh, T.R. Knight, Amy Brenneman, and Tim Daly. Singing will be no challenge for Ramirez, who is a Tony award winning actress for her performance in the Broadway show, Spamalot.
This week, Ramirez gushed about how excited she was to see her fellow cast members. "It's a great way to break the ice and come back together and say hello to each other,” she said. “I love everybody that works on these shows, and I've missed them.” The entire cast and crew is looking forward to getting back to work, with five new episodes set to air in April. "Now that everybody's recharged, we're going to get some really good stuff on the show this year. We have well-rested writers with a burst of creativity. I think we're all excited to see what's going to happen,” she said.
This week, Entertainment Weekly announced that Kate Walsh would be returning to
Grey’s Anatomy for at least one episode. However, fans should not expect anything other than Addison just passing through. “
Private Practice is still on the air so I imagine that I won’t be staying for long,” Walsh told
Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush. “I don’t know what I’m going to do at Seattle Grace.” We’ll soon find out!
