Eric Dane, also known as Grey’s Anatomy’s Dr. McSteamy, will appear on the cover of Men’s Health Magazine for its May issue. The upcoming issue will include a spread of the actor, as well as his healthy outlook on life.

Since his “watercooler” moment, appearing soaking wet wearing only a strategically placed towel on Grey’s Anatomy, Dane has gained massive attention. But despite the fame and stardom earned from being part of a popular award-winning program, he remains to believe and practice his own concept of endurance. He said, “All my choices are geared toward creating longevity. I don't know that there's a prep school for this. But coping with success is a quality problem. I deal with it with a smile."

He also encourages people to have a positive outlook in life by starting the day right by waking up with a good mood. He said, “I'm out of bed before the alarm goes off. Some mornings I have to go to work at 5:30, but even on off days, I find it hard to sleep past 8 o'clock.”

In addition, he also challenges himself to do well in all his endeavors yet he doesn’t like to put too much pressure on himself. He added, “I'm a goal setter, but in broad strokes. I don't have a by-October-2009-I-want-to-be-here plan. All I do is work with an element of challenge and an element of enjoyment. With that, anything can happen.”

Dane, a 34-year old native of San Francisco, California, currently plays Dr. Mark Sloan on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy. Prior to his inclusion on Grey’s Anatomy, he landed minor roles on television shows like The Wonder Years, Saved by the Bell, Roseanne, and Married with Children. He also worked in films like X-Men: The Last Stand and Open Water 2 among others.
