Demi Lovato just appeared on an episode of Idol, and never mind that that week had been aptly described as the single worst week in Idol history, the Disney star is moving to another broadcast giant - Grey's Anatomy. The 17-year-old announced via Twitter yesterday:

"For all of you amazing patient people... I'm so thrilled to announce that this week I'm shooting Grey's Anatomy!!!!!!!! :D AHHH!!!!"

Exclamation point abuse aside, Lovato will play a girl who may be suffering from schizophrenia in a May episode. She added:

"A week of fulfilling one of my biggest dreams....... :D YAYYYYY!!!!!"

And just one more for good measure:

"By the way... Mr. Patrick Dempsey himself wants me to give a shoutout to you guys! hahahaha so awesome."

In other non-Disney news, the next installment of Grey's Anatomy looks very intense. After the Owen-centric episode, "Sympathy for the Parents" centers on Karev (Justin Chambers) and his brother, who comes to Seattle Grace with a  hernia, in need of a pro bono surgery, and a surprising revelation that his family has not heard from Alex since he came to the hospital. Also, the baby talk is going around: this time it's Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey).
