Amidst some of the beleaguered medical drama's recent soapy turns, Grey's Anatomy has given fans something to look forward to next month.  According to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, Faye Dunaway will be gracing the hallways of Seattle Grace since she has signed on for at least one episode of Grey's Anatomy to air in February.  She'll play a renowned doctor at the hospital who crosses paths with the Chief (James Pickens, Jr.), Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Owen (Kevin McKidd).

One of the hottest actresses in the 1970s, Faye Dunaway has starred in a variety of films, from blockbusters such as The Towering Inferno and the camp classic Mommie Dearest, to the most critically acclaimed including Bonnie and Clyde, Chinatown, and Network.  She received Academy Award nominations for Best Actress for her performances in Bonnie and Clyde and Chinatown, before winning the category with her 1976 performance in Network.

This Grey's Anatomy guest stint marks Dunaway's first TV gig since she made an appearance as Lois O'Neill in a 2006 episode of CSI.  Since then, she has worked in films such as Love Hollywood Style, Cougar Club, Say It in Russian, The Gene Generation and has been recently cast in the thriller The Seduction of Dr. Fugazzi.  It has also been reported that the 67-year-old actress is in talks of joining the cast of Midnight Bayou and 21 and a Wake-Up.

Meanwhile, Faye Dunaway isn't the only guest star that fans can look forward to on this season's Grey's Anatomy.  Tyne Daly, Emmy Award and Tony Award-winning stage and screen actress, is expected to stop by on this week's episode so viewers can meet Dr. Derek Shepherd's (Patrick Dempsey) mother, who seems to have a few tricks up her sleeve when it comes to torturing and interrogating Meredith (Ellen Pompeo).

Grey's Anatomy airs every Thursday at 9pm on ABC.
