Grey's Anatomy: Episode 5.5 "There's No 'I' in Team" Recap (Page 1/3)
Previously on Grey's Anatomy: MerDer revolutionized the treatment of inoperable brain tumors and George finally graduated from being a lowly intern.  Callie visited Hahn's fertile crescent, Lexie lusted after George, and a real-life Army man kissed Cristina.

This week's episode of Grey's Anatomy is fairly easy to follow because there's only one medical case. Of course, that one is a doozie, as Dr. Bailey orchestrates a massive 12-person simultaneous Domino Surgery with six separate kidney transplants. In other news, Callie doesn't like lesbian sex, Meredith finds something minor to fight with Derek about (as she always does) and the residents have some fun choosing which intern George gets.

Derek (Patrick Dempsey) is beaming because the study from last season's brain tumor clinical trial was published in a medical journal. Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), always able to find the cloud inside every silver lining, is upset that it's called the Shepherd Method and that she isn't getting any credit. Derek decides to write to the editors to call it the Shepherd-Grey Method, but Meredith only wants him to do it if he really believes she deserves credit. He says she doesn't.

George (T.R. Knight), who is now an official resident, is promised one intern, giving the rest of the residents a chance to humiliate their interns to choose which one gets stuck with George. Cristina (Sandra Oh) wants to keep Lexie (aka the Lexipedia), and she's also considering having a fling with one of the interns because she's hasn't gotten any sex in a long time.

After trying to trade interns like baseball cards, the Chief steps in and gives George an intern from everyone. Lexie (Chyler Leigh), however, is furious that he didn't ask for her, because she helped him study and he's too stupid to see that she's in love with him.

Callie (Sara Ramirez) spends the episode whining about how she wasn't a fan of the local cuisine south of Dr. Hahn's border. Sloan (Eric Dane) wants nothing to do with this. His mind is changed when Callie asks for his help because she wants to be good at pleasing Hahn (Brooke Smith). Sloan is more than happy to demonstrate the proper way to cross the southern border by having her take her pants off. That night,m Callie puts her newfound skills to the test.
