As if Richard Weber wasn’t worried enough about the nation’s perception of Seattle Grace, what happens in Thursday night’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy
won’t help him at all. The hospital suffers from a plumbing leak, which begins to flood the hospital. The staff will have to work together to move patients and make sure that everyone is safe and taken care of. There’s still big issues in their personal lives that will keep them at least semi-distracted. George is getting prepared to retake his residency exam while Meredith and Derek sort through their relationship as they move in together. E! Online posted two clips this week, which give us insight to this week’s episode, “Here Comes The Flood”.
In the first clip, Izzie bursts into the elevator, already occupied by Meredith, Cristina, and Alex. She lets the others know that the chief is looking for help in moving the patients but no one seems to be taking her too seriously – until the elevators doors open at their destination. Water immediately comes rushing in as Weber stands ankle deep in it, calling out orders and getting people out of the area. Bailey recommends that the patients be located altogether to Mercy West and other area hospitals but Weber insists that he has it under control and demands that she not question him again.
In the second clip, it would seem that everyone would be happy that Derek and Meredith are moving in together, except that he's trying to get rid of her roommates. Alex and Izzie and understandably angry when Meredith fails to tell them that they're going to need to find a new place to live. Derek is upset that Meredith didn't communicate such a thing to her roomies. This leaves Meredith in quite the uncomfortable position, being stuck between the man she loves and some of her best friends. Though I like everyone under one roof, Derek does make a good point. If he and Meredith are going to build a life together, right now, there's only room for two!
