'The Hills' Star to Go 'Greek'?
'The Hills' Star to Go 'Greek'?
Yes, you heard it right!  Crossovers are the in thing again nowadays, with actors and actresses volunteering to snag some extra air time on their favorite shows.  Take for example Lauren Conrad of The Hills.  Conrad, whose fashion career has recently gone up to new heights after landing a dress-designing gig for the Emmys, has set her eyes on a TV show in which she wants to appear in as herself.  EW recently reported that the 22-year-old reality star is gearing up for a guest appearance on ABC Family’s Greek.  In fact, she recently signed on to appear in the October 28 season 2 finale, where she will be playing herself.

Series creator Sean Smith revealed that Conrad, who will be shooting her Greek stint in early September, will be playing a spiritual adviser to Spencer Grammer’s character.  Smith said, “It's a dream sequence in which Casey and LC are best friends.  Casey has a big decision she has to make, and she's like, 'LC, what do I do?  Advise me!'”

Smith adds that the dynamic of the two women actually remind him of “when Frankie Avalon is telling Frenchie what do to in Grease.  Casey holds LC in that high esteem.”

Lauren Conrad’s appearance on the show won’t drag along some Hills references, but he says that there will be some language alterations that will make it reminiscent of a reality series.  He says, “There are a lot of 'likes' to make it sound more conversational.”

Lauren Conrad, who also recently admitted that she adores CW’s Gossip Girls, says that contrary to what other people might think, she won’t be appearing in the highly successful teen drama.

"I just love it.  It's so gossipy and superficial.  It's amazing," Conrad told E! Online.  But when it comes to appearing on the show, she says, "I probably wouldn't want to see myself on there because it would ruin it for me."

Fans will have to settle with Conrad’s season finale appearance on Greek, which will air on October 28.  Meanwhile, catch Greek as it returns to television screens on August 26, with its new timeslot at 11pm.
