Jacob Zachar is an American actor born on May 16, 1986 in Chicago, Illinois. He’s worked on a few movies, but his starring turn in the ABC Family channel’s new series Greek will be his first television show. Jacob Zachar’s past works include roles in Little Big Top, Bodega, and Surf’s Up. He also appears alongside John Malkovich and John Goodman in the film Drunkboat, and has done several commercials for Dunkin’ Donuts and Carl’s Jr. Aside from his onscreen acting, he’s also performed in stage productions such as Les Miserables, Big: The Musical, On Golden Pond, and Prairie Lights, and is the frontman for the Chicago-based group Megaband.

 

Rusty Cartwright is played by Jacob Zachar in the upcoming television series Greek. A social underdog who played it safe during his high school years, he wants to make his college life wild and fun by pledging himself to a fraternity. Yet this good-hearted and naïve geek has much to learn about the people around him, and how unpredictable growing up can be. He also has to contend with his older sister Casey, who ostracizes and distances herself from him like many others. Despite this all, he still manages to make the right moral choices, and pledges himself to Kappa Tau Gamma.
