Allan Reznik is best known for combining his long career in print and broadcast journalism and his passion for dogs. He is an author, scriptwriter, and broadcast journalist.
For 30 years, Allan Reznik has been one of the prominent figures in the dog world as an owner, breeder, trainer, exhibitor, handler, judge and media commentator. His wide knowledge in the various breeds of dogs made him a biweekly host of the pet segment on Life Network/HGTV in Canada.
Allan Reznik also worked as an Editor-in-Chief of the Dogs in Canada. In 2002, he was hired by Fancy Publications in California to oversee their dog magazine division. To date, Reznik is the current Editor-at-Large of Dog World and Dog Fancy and the Editor-in-Chief of Dogs in Review.
Reznik also became the chief consultant of National Geographic Television. In February 2008, he was honored by the Alliance by Purebred Dog Writers with the Best Editorial Columnist of the Year Award.
Allan Reznik is one of the judges of Greatest American Dog, a reality show on CBS searching for the most talented dog in the country. The winner of the series will take home $250,000.
