It seems Blake Lively took a look at the Jersey Shore-ified version of herself that we created, and liked what she saw--or her Green Lantern producers did, anyway, because she's all brunette-ed up for her role as Carol Ferris in the first promo photo for the upcoming superhero flick starring Ryan Reynolds.

Lively went from actress to icon thanks to her lovely, long blond locks. Some hair aficionados have even gone so far as to call her style the new "Rachel" or "Farrah." So is she putting her blond bombshell status on the line by trying out a darker shade?

Eh. Probably not. We think the change makes her look more mature, and in any case, we're sure Serena will be back to blond when Gossip Girl returns this fall.
