They may have vacated the Upper East Side for the cobbled streets of Paris, but from the looks of this new Gossip Girl season 4 promo, Serena and Blair are bound to get into the same sexploits and self-pity parties, respectively, no matter where they go.

Maybe it's just the work of the talented folks in the CW promo department, and not necessarily the Gossip Girl writing gang, but this Parisian promo has me more excited for the September 13 premiere than I expected to be.

Could it be that a fresh coat of Old World antiquity and an ample dose of vintage French flair are just what our Gossip upper-crusters need to feel relevant again? Perhaps it's that I just adore tapping into my high school French training to exclaim "Oh Mon Dieu!" and "Vive Le Chuck!" in my terrible accent. Or, just maybe, any promo that shows Serena getting pushed into a fountain gets an automatic pass in my book.
