Born to a family of actors on August 25, 1987, Blake Lively is an American actress who hails from Tarzana, California. She was home schooled as a child, but attended Burbank High School during her teens. While there, she took part in the National Show Choir, and was also class president and cheerleader. She wanted to attend Stanford University, and was not originally interested in acting. During the summer of her senior and junior year in high school, her brother sent her on a few auditions.
Blake Lively’s first role was a small one. She played Trixie the Tooth Fairy in 1998’s

he Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants in 2005. She received a Teen Choice Award nomination for “Choice Movie Breakout – Female” for playing the role. She returned for
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 in 2008, alongside Alexis Bedel, America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn. In 2006, she starred in
Accepted, as well as in
Simon Says, a horror by William Dear. Her next role was as Annabelle in
Elvis and Annabelle in 2007. Lively was next cast in the CW’s series
Gossip Girl She plays Serena van der Woodsen, a popular figure in the high end society of New York’s Upper East Side. She co-stars in the series with Leighton Meeser, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Taylor Momsen and Ed Westwick. , a teen drama based on the book series by Cecily Von Ziegesar. She was then featured on the cover of
Cosmo Girl in November 2007. In 2008, she appeared on the cover of the shopping magazine
Lucky and was also featured on the cover of
Teen Vogue. She and Gossip Girl co-star Meeser were also on the May 2008 cover of
NYLON.
