Gossip Girl

When we last we left the scandal-making guys and gals of Gossip Girl, the deliciously devious Georgina Sparks had successfully managed to throw the main cast members into a tailspin with her evil antics. In the aftermath, three couples broke up . . . and moved on to new partners, as is their way.

After a summer filled with no doubt eyebrow raising hookups and breakups, seems like many of the characters took a break to the Hamptons to relax on the beach, talk smack about others behind their backs, and wear fantastic clothing. The CW recently released some preview clips of the upcoming new season and already the show looks back in form.

What follows are four new clips of Gossip Girl's second season premiere. Take a look:



Four ten second clips are hardly spoileriffic, but let's see what we can discern.

– Chuck (Ed Westwick) is not back together with Blair, but has instead spent his summer hobnobbing with topless twins. His sense of style is still as off the wall and fantastic as ever. Looks like when Chuck Bass decided to get back to his roots last year, he meant it. Based on the look Serena (Blake Lively) shoots him, she doesn't seem too pleased with his girl hopping ways.

– Meanwhile, Serena appears to not have sparked up a romance with Nate despite what was shown at the end of last season. Instead, she is fielding offers from lifeguards and townies. Blair (Leighton Meester) seems quite pleased to share her knowledge of how to use men, meaning she's not exactly pining over Chuck, either.

– Nate (Chace Crawford) will soon be running through the streets in nary but his boxers. Ladies and some gents, get your TiVos ready – and be careful about wearing out your remote's rewind button.
