The rich and stylish cast of
Gossip Girl would fit right in with the posh, haute couture world portrayed within the pages of
Vanity Fair. It's only fitting, then, that the magazine that prides itself on being on the cutting edge of fashion and culture will have a feature on the
Gossip Girl cast.
As part of their ‘Hollywood's New Wave of Stars' issue,
Vanity Fair will feature
Blake Lively on the cover along with Emma Roberts, Kristen Stewart and Amanda Seyfried (
Big Love). Though
Gossip Girl's Serena van der Woodsen may seem to be front and center because of this,
Vanity Fair will be featuring the entire of TV's hottest young cast.

My friends and I try seeing GG when it first aired....and we all agreed that no one on this show can act. ...

This is cool that the cast of GG will be in Vanity Fair. I think Blake Lively and Leighton Meester will do ...

Leighton Meester is so much hotter than Blake Lively.
In addition to Blake Lively,
Gossip Girl stars
Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf),
Chace Crawford (Nate Archibald),
Ed Westwick (Chuck Bass),
Taylor Momsen (Jenny Humphrey),
Penn Badgley (Dan Humphrey) and
Jessica Szohr (Vanessa Abrams) will also get face time within the pages of the magazine.
“Boundaries dissolve everywhere they turn their pretty heads,” a recent feature on
Vanity Fair's web site says of the stars featured in the issue. “It's a short, sharp hop from the wholesome happy perk of Disney's
Hannah Montana, whose
Miley Cyrus can't show a little bare shoulder without the world flipping its bonnet, to the spite-laced hangovers of the CW's
Gossip Girl, where decadence is in full Baudelairean flower. There, every Coach bag contains wanton secrets. Treachery and bitchery gleam from every compact mirror. Youth and beauty have their privileges, among them being the ability and agility to roll out into the hazy dawn following the squalors of the night before and still possess the throwaway glamour of a Bryan Ferry song.”
“A fan craze and a critical fetish,” the article went on to say, “
Gossip Girl has hit the sweet spot of the Zeitgeist, the X mark where sex appeal and pop sociology intersect and the story lines hold an illusion of seamlessness, as if they sprang full-blown from the brow of
Entertainment Weekly.”
Check out the issue and its
Gossip Girl spread when the ‘Hollywood's New Wave of Stars' issue of
Vanity Fair hits the stands this August.
