The CW announced today that their new series Life UneXpected will premiere on Monday, January 18, at 9 PM--the time slot usually reserved for Gossip Girl.

Gossip Girl still has two episodes left to air this fall: next Monday's episode 3.10, "Last Days of Disco Stick," and the as-yet-untitled episode 3.11, which will air November 30.

The show will return for the two weeks leading up to January 18 with episodes 3.12, "The Debarted," and 3.13, "Jenny, Full of Grace." These dates and titles are subject to change.

Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

Gossip Girl will then take a six-week hiatus. Although we hate to go any time without our show, take solace, GG fans: the final 12 episodes of season 3 will air consecutively after the hiatus, resulting in a full season 3.

And as for Life UneXpected? Its pilot episode has already made it a critical darling of sorts. Says TV Fanatic: "Any fan of Gilmore Girls should already be setting his/her DVR," for the debut of this "classic CW drama" about a young girl, Lux, who sets out to seek emancipation from her unknown birth parents, Baze and Cate, who haven't seen each other since high school and both can't seem to grow up. In an "unexpected" twist, a judge instead orders Lux into the temporary joint custody of her parents, and looks to be a Gilmore-esque blend of emotion, family trials, and humor. The show stars Britt Robertson, Kristoffer Polaha, Shiri Appleby and Kerr Smith.
