Taylor Momsen, who plays Jenny Humphrey on Gossip Girl, performed for the first time with her band the Pretty Reckless at the Annex in New York City Tuesday night when they opened for the Veronicas. The 15-year-old actress flaunted her vocals in a slinky beige slip while she belted out the band's "I Really F----in' Love You" with a throaty growl.
Pretty Reckless, a pop-rock band formed and fronted by the Gossip Girl actress, recently signed a deal with Interscope Records and would release their debut album this year. In an interview with OK! Magazine back in March, Momsen mentioned that she writes all the songs, sings, and plays guitar on the album.
Meanwhile, fans have not seen that last of Pretty Reckless. The band will head out on tour, opening for the Veronicas again on today in Nashville and touring with them until June 30, when they finish in Salt Lake City.
It seems that Little J is growing up really fast! Momsen started acting professionally at the age of 3 with a series of commercials and big screen projects, followed by a modeling career with IMG models at the age of 14, as well as a regular spot on Gossip Girl.
Fortunately, Momsen's foray into the music circuit doesn't mean that fans will be seeing less of her on Gossip Girl
. According to her rep, this shouldn't affect her shooting schedule on The CW teen drama.
