While her character Jenny Humphrey appears to be on a downward spiral to drug debauchery on Gossip Girl, Taylor Momsen's band The Pretty Reckless looks to be on its way to the top, after it bags a spot on the soundtrack of an upcoming controversial action movie Kick-Ass.

Their song Make Me Wanna Die will be the band's first single after being featured on the soundtrack.

Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

Momsen, 16, has never been shy about admitting that while she likes acting on Gossip Girl, music is her "only goal" and what she wants on do with her life.

"Music is where I can be me," she tells Parade.com "I really do it because I love it, honestly. It's what I want to do with my life. I mean, it's my only goal... Music is more personal because you're writing it and you're involved in every step of it.

On the other hand, she says that acting is "easy" because "you're playing a character instead of yourself." Jenny is the central character on the upcoming episode of Gossip Girl, where her current flame Damien will try to lure her into having sex.

She, however, is by no means the first Gossip Girl star to venture into music. Leighton Meester, who plays Blair Waldorf, released her debut single "Somebody To Love last October."

Kick-Ass, described by some as Quentin Tarantino for teens, features Aaron Johnson as regular student Dave Lizewski who transforms into vigilante superhero Kick-Ass. The comic book adaptation is directed by Claudia Schiffer's husband Matthew Vaughan and produced by Brad Pitt. It hits theaters April.

Nicolas Cage also stars as a vigilante called Big Daddy.
